My services as an IT freelancer cover the following areas.
Seminar "Good Decision-Making in IT Projects"
IT projects are marked by numerous decisions that refer to topics as widespread as requirements priorisation, design and architecture, or team processes. Unfortunately many decisions are made in ways that are far less rational than we would hope. There are many reasons for this.
I offer a seminar on this topic based on a book
I wrote. The seminar addresses the following questions:
What are the basics of a rational decision?
Who can we avoid being largely affected by cognitive biases?
How can teams come to good decisions?
What role do quantitative methods play?
How can agile processes be used for solid decision-making?
Agile requirements management
Agile requirements management is characterised by the idea that it's not useful to specify all requirements to the smallest detail. In fact, the incremental nature of agile projects allows us to start development rather quickly. We benefit from short feedback cycles as we adapt any requirements whenever necessary. A good connection to all project participants is essential in order to keep track of what needs to be done. In this sense, I can offer support regarding the following topics:
product ownership (Scrum / Kanban)
requirements analysis in coordination with the domain experts
user story elaboration
backlog organisation, prioritisation, and maintenance
development of a pragmatic project documentation
